"Never seen before"... Rajinikanth hails Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai Part 1

Viduthalai Part 1 is a period crime thriller based on the short story Thunaivan written by B. JeyamohanThe film was released worldwide theatrically on 31st March 2023 and received critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike. The latest lauding addition is came from the Superstar Rajinikanth, who calls it a story that Tamil cinema has never seen before.

Superstar Rajinikanth took to Twitter on Saturday to share his appreciation for the recently released Tamil film Viduthalai Part 1, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. He called it a story that Tamil cinema has never seen before and lauded the performances of the lead actors, the music of Ilaiyaraaja and the direction of Vetrimaaran.

Rajinikanth wrote , “Viduthalai… This is a story that Tamil cinema has never seen before. It is a masterpiece! Soori's acting - is astonishing! Ilaiyaraaja’s music - as always, a king. Vetrimaaran - the pride of Tamil cinema. Congratulations to the producer. I am eagerly waiting for the second part. #ViduthalaiPart1”

The film is produced by Elred Kumar under the banners of RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company. It also features Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Bhavani Sre, Chetan and Rajeev Menon in supporting roles. The film is presented by RS Infotainment and distributed by Red Giant Movies and Ahimsa Entertainment.

Viduthalai Part 1 is the first installment of a two-part series. The second part is expected to release later this year. . It revolves around a police constable who is recruited to capture the leader of a separatist group that fights against the authorities and the government system.  The film has been praised for its realistic portrayal of the socio-political issues in Tamil Nadu, its gripping screenplay, its stunning cinematography by R.
