Ola driver lodges a complaint against TN Governor RN Ravi's media advisor: Here's what happened!

An Ola cab driver in Chennai has filed a complaint against the media advisor of Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi for allegedly assaulting him. Based on his complaint, the Chennai police have been inquiring about the incident.

23-year-old Thirunavukarasu is a resident of Tindivanam and he has been driving an Ola cab. On Monday- February 6, Thirunavukarasu picked up 39-year-old Thirugnana Sambandam, Governor RN Ravi's media advisor, from Chennai International Airport to Mugalivakkam, where Thirugnana Sambandam resides. During the journey, the driver had reportedly endured an unpleasant experience with Thirugnana Sambandam.

It has been reported that Thirugnana Sambandam had asked Thirunavukarasu to stop the cab at multiple places during his travel, from visiting an ATM to meeting his friend. As Thirugnana Sambandam was asking for multiple stops, driver Thirunavukarasu had opposed such multiple stopovers and told Thirugnana Sambandam that he was only supposed to take him to his destination on time.

However, when the cab reached the Nandambakkam police station limits, Thirugnana Sambandam had slapped Thirunavukarasu. The latter had recorded the incident and called '100' and informed to the police about the incident. The police had arrived at the spot and inquired about the incident. By asking the driver to come to police station around 12 pm the next day, the police officials took Thirunavukarasu's mobile phone.

Based on the police directive, Thirunavukarasu had reached the Nandambakkam police station at around 10 am the next day, only to face more unpleasant experiences. Thirunavukarasu was made to wait in the station until 5.30 pm to get the receipt of Community Service Register (CSR). He left the police station by handing the officials the video that he shot while the Governor's media advisor assaulted him. The police are currently probing the case.
