The 95th Academy Awards were held in Los Angeles on March 12th, 2023, and it was a night to remember. The biggest stars of entire globe gathered at the Dolby Theatre to celebrate the best films and performances of the year. The ceremony was hosted by the charming and hilarious Jimmy Kimmel for the third time, after the 89th and 90th editions of the ceremony in 2017 and 2018. 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' made a whopping history by winning an incredible 87awards of its 11 nominations.

The sci-fi film won Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director awards apart from other technical nods for Original Screenplay and Editing. And this year marked the most first-time nominees in Oscar history, as Michelle Yeoh made history as the first Asian woman to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

Among the winners was James Cameron's epic science fiction film, Avatar: The Way of Water, which claimed the coveted award for Best Visual Effects category, where  the film's Visual Effects Supervisor Richard Baneham accepted the award.

One of the most exciting moments of the day came when Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga's film The Elephant Whisperers won in the Best Documentary Short category and the chart-topping Naatu Naatu (RRR) won the Best Original Song beating Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, sung by Lady Gaga.

Bollywood's Deepika Padukone wore a Louis Vuitton attire to the Oscars and introduced Naatu Naatu performers Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava, and their dancers. Live performances of a number of Oscar-nominated songs included Naatu Naatu. Performers and their dancers performed in front of a set designed to look like the original music video for the song, creating an unforgettable Oscars moment.
