On the other side: When Malayalam celebrities hail Constitution amidst the Ram Temple inauguration!

Kerala has never failed to surprise a sentiment that's pervasive across many parts of the nation. When all eyes were on the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a group of celebrities had kept their eyes on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution at a high time when the inauguration has become a blend of political and religious aspect ahead of the general elections.

The construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been one of the apex dreams of the BJP and the Hindutva outfits. After decades of dispute over a land in Ayodhya where the BJP claimed that Lord Ram was born and where the Hindutva cadres demolished the Babri Masjid mosque to build the temple, a constitutional bench of the Supreme Court in 2019 declared a ruling, awarding the land to the Hindus to build a Ram Temple.

In 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone in Ayodhya to construct the temple and he was in the forefront to build a momentum for the Ram Temple campaign. With an eye on the 2024 general elections, the BJP has planned to complete the construction and inaugurate the temple before the polls. However, their plan has gone awry due to which it was decided to open the temple when the construction was still in process.

In view of the Ram Temple inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had held a spiritual tour across the nation and held fasting as per the rituals. As he has now inaugurated the temple amidst nationwide attention and has claimed the Ram Temple as the future of India, he hasn't only exposed his non-secularism, he has also sparked a wave of dissent from prominent people.

While several celebrities have graced the occasion of the consecretion ceremony, there is a group of celebrities who is strongly standing the opposite. Their stand has stamped a notion on how the non secular BJP is damaging the secular value of the country, one that makes the Constitution complete. They staunchly stressed that India can't go blemish by losing its values of democracy and secularism.

When Ayodhya was spectacularly decorated for the event, the celebrities from the Malayalam film industry have rampantly shared the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. As the BJP boasts to have accomplished one of its top promises of buidling the Ram Temple on a site where a Babri Masjid was demolished by the Hindutva cadres, these celebrities had taken a stand to reiterate the secular, socialist, and democratic values enshrined in the Constitution.

Several celebrities including actors Parvathy Thiruvothu, Rima Kallingal, Rajesh Madhavan, directors Jeo Baby, Kamal KM, and Aashiq Abu have shared the pictures of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. Taking to social media, actor Parvathy Thiruvothu shared the Preamble and wrote, "Our India." Echoing the same, Rima Kallingal wrote, "Justice. Liberty. Equality. Fraternity."

Filmmaker Kamal KM took to social media and wrote, "We, the People of India having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign socialist, secular, democratic, republic, and to secure to all its citizens." As most of the celebrities have armed the BJP-Hindutva movement to hail the inauguration of the Ram Temple, some of their peers have hailed the Preamble of the Indian Constitution and have equally earned headlines-grabbing attention.
