Popular actor Madhavan is in a rain of delight: Check how his son made India proud!

Popular actor Madhavan is in full of delight and wishes after his son Vedaant has made the country proud by winning the gold medal at a swimming tournament. From the fraternities to well-wishers, Vedaant has been flooded with commendations from across and beyond the borders. The 16-year-old has won the gold medal for India in swimming, at the Danish Open in Copenhagen. 

Madhavan took to Twitter and wrote, "And so, today the winning streak continues...Vedaant Madhavan gets gold at the Denmark open." He further expressed his gratitude to all those who had been involved including the coach behind Vedaant's golden milestone. According to reports, the 16-year-old had bagged gold in the men's 800m freestyle and bettered his personal best time by 11:48 to stop the clock at 8:17.28, getting past the Danish swimmer Alexander L Bjorn by 0.10.

He won the medal on Sunday and Madhavan had also shared a video of his son standing tall on the medal podium. Several celebrities took to social media and congratulated Vedaant to which Madhavan had responded back to extend his gratitude for the wishes. Actor Arya wrote, "This is outstanding. What an achievement Vedaant Madhavan. Many more to come. So so sooo happy for you brother." 

Thanking Arya, Madhavan wrote, "Thank you so very much for your heartfelt encouragement brother. As usual this is so motivating and encouraging. We are touched and overwhelmed. Love you, bro." Keerthy Suresh wrote, "Kudos to the champion Vedaant Madhavan. Your achievement is an inspiration to all! Congratulations to the proud father, Maddy @ActorMadhavan sir." Replying to Keerthy Suresh, Madhavan said, "You're so very kind. Thank you so much. God's grace. This is so encouraging." 

Actor Akshay Kumar wrote, "These young boys Sajan and Vedaant have made us all proud. Am sure it’s an amazing feeling as a parent, @ActorMadhavan. Heartiest Congratulations." Riteish Deshmukh wrote, "This is awesome!!! We are so proud of @VedaantMadhavan - more power to him. May he continue winning more honour and accolades for India. @ActorMadhavan I remember talking about him a few years ago in the US. This is simply amazing." 

It must be noted that Vedaant had won a silver medal for India last week at the same competition and he is emerging as a promising swimmer in India with several records. Last year, Vedaant had won four medals and three bronze medals in swimming at the 47th Junior National Aquatic Championships, which were held in Bengaluru.
