Popular actress Jyothika took her fans to surprise on Tuesday by making her debut on social media. Jyothika has been a prominent artist in the Indian cinema industry who still enjoys a vast fan base in the albeit of limiting her presence in acting. Her cinematic journey has been significant and she has acted in nearly 50 movies through which she earned stardom across and beyond Kollywood. Amid a huge fan following, Jyothika had opted to stay off from social media.
She had married Suriya in 2006 and they had become one of the famous couples in India and both of them have jointly been carrying out various initiatives including film production company 2D Entertainment and Agaram Foundation, which concentrates on education for the students from backward class. While Jyothika had acted in some movies after her marriage, her fans missed her on social media and she was unlike her husband Suriya, who stays active in social media.
To everyone surprise, Jyothika has ended the wait of her fans as she has officially entered social media for the first time. On Tuesday, she has counted her presence in the social media world through her new Instagram handle. She has shared breathtaking pictures from the Himalayas where she had gone trekking during Independence day as her first Instagram post. She was seen flaunting the Indian flag at the backdrop of the Himalayas range and she also posted pictures that she clicked during her mountainous journey.
Posting the pictures, Jyothika wrote, "Hello everyone! On social media for the very first time! A lot of positivity to share from my lockdown diaries. At the Himalayas on Independence Day. The beautiful Kashmir Great Lakes, 70 km trek with the awesome team of Bikat adventures - Rahul, Sachin, Raul, and Ashwin and the Kashmir team Mushtaq and Riyaz Bhai. Thank you. Life is only an existence, unless we start living it!! India is gorgeous! Jai Hind."
Within a short span of time, Jyothika has won a great reception on Instagram as, by the time of writing this content, she has earned over 1.3 million followers. Surprisingly, among the followers who welcomed her was her husband Suriya. As welcoming Jyothika to a new world, Suriya wrote, "My pondatti strongest!!! Thrilled to see you in Insta." Jyothika's entry and Suriya's comment have been going viral as the fans overwhelmingly gave a virtual hi-fi to Jyothika.
On the work front, the couple has been quite busy. Jyothika is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming Tamil film titled 'Udanpirappe', starred by Sasikumar. The movie will be released on Amazon Prime Video this October and while it is directed by Era Saravanan, the movie is jointly produced by Suriya and Jyothika under their own banner 2D Entertainment. Suriya is currently busy with the projects 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' helmed by Pandiraj and 'Vaadi Vasal' directed by Vetri Maaran. His much-awaited movie 'Jai Bhim' will be released this November on Amazon Prime as a Diwali special.
