Popular Tamil actor passes away...Kollywood fans and fraternities pay tribute!

Popular Tamil actor Poo Ramu has passed away on Monday - June 27 in Chennai due to cardiac arrest. Known for his roles in several superhit movies, Ramu's demise has come as a shock to the fans and after learning about his death, several fans and fraternities have been paying tribute to the deceased soul and expressing condolences to the family. 

Some of the notable movies in which he featured include 'Thangameengal', 'Neerparavai', and 'Karnan'. He rose to prominence through the movies 'Pariyerum Perumal' and 'Soorarai Pottru'. He was also widely known for being a street play artist. The term 'Poo' got prefixed before his name after he became a household name through the movie 'Poo' which was directed by Sasi. 

Though he acted with Kamal Haasan in the movie 'Anbe Sivam', Ramu's appearance in Poo has brought him a good scale of recognition. Ramu had also been working in several projects and on Monday, he was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai after he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was getting treated at the Intensive Care Unit and several fraternities have expressed their wishes to him for a speedy recovery. 

Actor Kaali Venkat had tweeted about Ramu's hospitalization and said that the latter was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. Venkat wished for Ramu's speedy recovery. However, amid getting treated, his health worsened. During the evening hours of Monday, he breathed his last due to a cardiac arrest. The news of his demise had drawn huge attention and several fans and fraternities have expressed tribute to the deceased soul.
