In shocking piece of news, it has been recently reported that Ileana D'Cruz, who made her Tamil film debut with the film "Kedi" in 2006, has been blacklisted from further work in the Tamil film industry. Playing the female lead opposite Vijay in the film Nanban catapulted her to fame in Kollywood, where she has also worked in the Telugu and Tamil film industries and in Hindi. She garnered a lot of attention for her role in Barfi in Hindi which lead with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

According to latest media reports, Ileana has been banned from the Tamil film industry after a producer made a complaint claiming that the actress took an advance payment for a new project but failed to appear for the shooting. It is being stated that the producer incurred a huge loss as the actress took the remuneration fee but did not participate in the shoot. While there has been no official confirmation on the news, it is being widely reported by media outlets.

It's worth to remember that Ileana D'Cruz admitted that she has been absent from the silver screen for some time. In an interview with Times Of India, the Nanban star said, "I hate it when people say that! I won't vanish! I am right here. You don’t see me getting papped, because I don’t share my whereabouts. I did get the taste of the pap culture a while ago, but I realised it wasn’t meant for me,"

"I have been working and have finished shooting a lot of good work. So, yes, I have been doing good work, but doing it very quietly with my head down." In another recent interview, she also had opened up about her struggles with body dysmorphic disorder since the age of 12. The actress has been busy with several upcoming projects, including the films 'Tera Kya Hoga Lovely' and an untitled Shirsha Guha film. She will also be making her web series debut soon.
