A postgraduate student of IIT Madras commits suicide!

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has shockingly reported with the suicide of a female postgraduate student on the premises of one of the nation's reputed institutions.

It has been reported that Fathima Latheef, a native of Kollam district in Kerala has been studying her first-year postgraduate course in humanities and she was staying at the Sarayu Hostel of the institute to pursue her studies. The reports say that she was under deep stress after scoring low marks in internal examinations.

The student's mother, by having no response from her daughter, had reached out to the student of the nearby room around 11.30 am on Saturday.  By speaking to the student over the phone, she asked for her daughter and while the student tried to open the door of Fathima's room it was locked and they broke the doors eventually after which they were shocked to witness that Fathima had hanged herself to death.

The reports stated that she could have roped her necks around midnight yesterday. After having reported, the police department had rushed to the spot and recovered the corpse of the deceased student following which they have been investigating the case.
