President Ram Nath Kovind is hospitalized...Here's what happened!

President Ram Nath Kovind has on Friday rushed to the Army's Research and Referral (R&R) Hospital in New Delhi after he complained of chest pain. The head of state has been placed under continuous observation and had gone through health examinations. 

According to reports, 75-year-old Ram Nath Kovind had complained of chest pain in the morning hours of Friday following which he was rushed to the military hospital for further treatments. The hospital said that the President had undergone routine tests and was kept under observation. In an official statement, the hospital said that the President is undergoing check-ups and is under observation. It has asserted that his health condition is stable.

It has been reported that the President will stay in the hospital till the entire medical diagnosis is complete and the doctors are continuously monitoring him. After knowing the development that the President is hospitalized, several leaders expressed their wishes to him for a speedy recovery. 

Prime Minister Modi, who is on his two-day visit to Bangladesh, had spoken to the President's son and enquired about his health. Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister's Office said, "PM Narendra Modi spoke to Rashtrapati Ji's son. He enquired about the President's health and prayed for his well-being". 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to Twitter and said, "Have spoken to Rashtrapati Ji's family and inquired about his health. I pray to almighty for his good health and well-being." Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Inquired after @rashtrapatibhvn’s health from Shri. KD Tripathi, Secretary to the Rashtrapati. My prayers for Rashtrapati Ji's good health and speedy recovery."
