President Ram Nath Kovind undergoes surgery at AIIMS!

President Ram Nath Kovind has on Tuesday undergone bypass surgery at AIIMS, Delhi during the third day of his hospitalization in the top hospital. The President had last Friday complained of chest pain and he was rushed to the Army Research and Referral (R&R) Hospital in the national capital. Initially, the President was placed under continuous observation and had gone through health examinations. 

The Army Hospital has on Saturday said that the condition of President Ram Nath Kovind is stable and he was referred to AIIMS, Delhi for further investigation. As per its statement, the President has got shifted to AIIMS on Saturday evening, which has become his second hospital in two days. While he was admitted with the complaint of chest pain, the President had undergone bypass surgery on Tuesday. 

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had put out the details concerning the surgery. Taking to Twitter, Rajnath Singh said, "The President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind has undergone a successful bypass surgery at AIIMS, Delhi. I congratulate the team of Doctors for a successful operation. Spoke to Director AIIMS to enquire about Rashtrapatiji’s health. Praying for his well-being and speedy recovery."

According to reports, 75-year-old Ram Nath Kovind had complained of chest pain in the morning hours of Friday following which he was rushed to the military hospital for further treatments. Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Modi had spoken to the President's son and enquired about his health. The Prime Minister's Office said that Narendra Modi spoke to Rashtrapati Ji's son and he enquired about the President's health and prayed for his well-being. 

On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to Twitter and said, "Have spoken to Rashtrapati Ji's family and inquired about his health. I pray to almighty for his good health and well-being." Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Inquired after @rashtrapatibhvn’s health from Shri. KD Tripathi, Secretary to the Rashtrapati. My prayers for Rashtrapati Ji's good health and speedy recovery."
