Prime Minister's office for sale: How four people invited trouble by attempting to sell PM Modi's office?

The Uttar Pradesh police had arrested four people for reportedly attempting to sell Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency office in Varanasi in the BJP ruling state and the shocking and unanticipated incident has got nationwide attention and the police had filed an FIR against the culprits. 

According to reports, an advertisement on classifieds website OLX has put up Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office in Varanasi on sale for the price of Rs 7.5 crore. The advertisement was posted with the photos and details of the office. According to the police officials, the Prime Minister's office has been listed as a villa with four rooms and four bathrooms with a carpet area of 6,500 square feet. 

It must be noted that Narendra Modi has been representing Varasani in the Lok Sabha as its MP and this office is mainly being used for the public relations work of the Prime Minister. While it is located in Jawahar Nagar Extension, the advertisement that was published on OLX has said that the office is located in Krishna Dev Nagar. After the advertisement was posted, it was later taken to the attention of the police department. 

The police got into action and brought down the advertisement and lodged an FIR in the matter. The officials said that they had received information that someone has taken a photograph of the Prime Minister's office that is located in the Jawahar Nagar of Bhelupur area and uploaded it on the OLX website. After knowing the shocking incident, the police had taken the case and filed an FIR, and launched a probe. 

The police had arrested four people in connection with the case and they also had arrested the person who took the photograph of the Prime Minister's office. The reports say that the police have been carrying out a further probe. The seller has been identified as Lakshmikant Ojha. 

According to a news agency, the seller has posted the advertisement under the category of 'House and Villa' and it was listed as four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and fully furnished ready to move. The advertisement further mentioned the office as a two-storeyed building, facing northeast with a car parking. The seller had apparently put the name of the property as PMO Office Varanasi.
