While the Andhra Pradesh State Police Duty Meet that held on Sunday was restricted to the borders of the state, the heartwarming incident amid the meet has become the talk of the nation and beyond as it has captured the moment of the royal salute and a pride picture that had inspired thousands of fathers and their daughters.

The meet, titled as 'Ignite', is being held in Tirupati from January 4 to 7, and Circle Inspector Shyam Sundar has attended the meeting. When his daughter arrived at the meet, he offered a proud salute to her as his daughter Yendluru Jessy Prasanthi is the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Guntur district. The picture of the father saluting his own daughter has been going viral across social media.

The incident had become a proud moment for every father and daughter beyond Shyam and Prasanthi. The Andhra Pradesh Police department had shared the picture on Twitter and hailed the proud salute of the father. In its Twitter note, the police department said, "#APPolice1stDutyMeet brings a family together! Circle Inspector Shyam Sundar salutes his own daughter Jessi Prasanti who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police with pride and respect at #IGNITE which is being conducted at #Tirupati. A rare & heartwarming sight indeed!"

Many Tweeple have been sharing the picture and commending the father and daughter duo. According to reports, Prasanti is from the 2018 batch and she has recently been posted as the Deputy Superintendent of Police. She met her father for the first time ever since she joined the department and she was surprised to get a proud salute from her own father.

Speaking to a news agency, Prasanti said this is the first time that she and her father met on duty. As he's her father, she wasn't very comfortable with him saluting her. She asked him not to salute her, but he did and she also had returned the salute. Prasanti said her father is her major inspiration. She had grown up seeing him serving the people which inspired her to choose the police department as her career.
