Pushpa 2 to hit the screens on this date...Here's what we know

Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar, the sequel to the blockbuster action thriller Pushpa, will continue the story of Pushpa Raj, a red sanders smuggler who takes on a powerful politician and his ruthless son in the forest. The buzz around the highly-anticipated Telugu movie just got even more exciting with the latest casting news.

Now the enticing sequel is all set to release on March 22, 2024 (Friday) worldwide in Pan-Indian languages, as per strong source reports. The production house Mythri Movie Makers has confirmed the release date and said that an official announcement will be made soon.  The film stars Allu Arjun as the lead character, along with Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and others in pivotal roles.

Fans of the franchise already rejoiced with the first glimpse of Pushpa 2, which arrived on Allu Arjun's birthday in April. Now the next update from the makers is all the eyes are on. The film also features an impressive crew, with music by the renowned Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Miroslaw Kuba, while Karthika Srinivas and Ruben who handled the editing.

The first film made around 350 crores at the box office, making it a commercial success. The film also debuted at the 2022 Moscow International Film Festival. It was shown in the section labelled "Blockbuster hits from around the world." The pilot film is available to stream right now on Amazon Prime Video.

The first part depicted how Pushpa Raj rose from a low wage laborer to a smuggler by using his cunning and courage. The film also showcased his rivalry with Konda Reddy, another smuggler who tries to kill him. The film ended with a cliffhanger where Pushpa meets Bhanwar Singh for the first time.

The second part of the film ‘Pushpa-The Rule’ is expected to be more intense and thrilling as Pushpa faces his biggest challenge yet.  Sunil, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Jagapathi Babu, and others all play important roles in the upcoming film.
