Rajinikanth's health: Latest update from the hospital! How's the superstar doing now?

In a sign of relief to Rajinikanth's fans and the people associated with the superstar, the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad, where he has been admitted, released a bulletin concerning the superstar's health condition in which it had said that the actor has been progressing well and the investigation reports had revealed nothing serious to be concerned with. The hospital had said that Rajinikanth will be staying at least till Saturday evening and it will decide on when the actor needs to be discharged.

It said, "He had an uneventful night and his blood pressure is still on the higher side although under better control than yesterday. His investigations have not revealed anything alarming so far". The hospital stated that the actor will also put through further tests on Saturday before getting discharged. Rajinikanth had on Friday got admitted to Apollo Hospitals Hyderabad that had shocked his fans and people as his admission has come after some of the crew members in his upcoming movie 'Annaatthe' had tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection.

Rajinikanth had gone to Hyderabad nearly two weeks ago to take part in the film shooting of 'Annaathe' that was camped at Ramoji Film city. As the movie would be the last one for the superstar following which he would take a political plunge, Rajinikanth went to Hyderabad with the determination to complete the shooting within this month as he had announced that he would be launching his political party by January and would contest in the upcoming state assembly polls.

However, four members of the technical crew of the movie were confirmed to have contracted the viral infection and the development had given a major shock to Rajinikanth and the entire team. Following the development, Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the movie, said that the shooting of the movie has temporarily been postponed. The production house said that four members had tested positive for the pandemic and Rajinikanth had tested negative for the viral infection.

According to reports, though testing negative, Rajinikanth didn't come to Chennai and he has gone into quarantine in Hyderabad and while it was speculated that he would be under quarantine for the rest of the month, the reports close to the development said that he would less likely be launching his political party in January as he had earlier said that he will first complete the shooting of Annaathe before launching the political party and he further asserted that he would complete the shooting soon.

However, it's not yet clear that when the shooting will be resumed and amid such developments, Rajinikanth had on Friday got admitted to the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. He complained of fluctuations in blood pressure and the hospital issued an official statement on Friday in which it has said that the actor's blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and he required further evaluations. The hospital revealed that apart from the complaint of blood pressure and exhaustion, Rajinikanth had no other symptoms and was hemodynamically stable.

By citing that the actor is progressing well in its Saturday's press release, the hospital further stated that Rajinikanth has been advised complete rest in view of his labile blood pressure and visitors are not being allowed to meet him. He would be put through further evaluations and tests on Saturday and the hospital said it would take a final decision on his discharge on Saturday evening, based on his health condition and investigation results.

Rajinikanth had earlier said that he would be launching his political party in January and he would be making his official announcement regarding the political party on December 31. While some reports suggest that he would be holding a big meeting in Madurai to announce his political party, the current state shows that the actor is not in a position of making the political announcement on December 31 and the fans and members would be bracing up a delay in witnessing his active political entry.
