Rajinikanth's health: MK Alagiri reveals when the superstar will be back to Chennai!

As Rajinikanth has been hospitalized in Hyderabad with a complaint of high blood pressure since Friday, expelled DMK leader and former Union Minister MK Alagiri has on Saturday revealed that the superstar had told him he would be back to Chennai in two or three days. Alagiri's assertion has come at a high time when Rajinikanth's fans are expecting his discharge and expressing their wishes for a speedy recovery. 

MK Alagiri is one of the closest friends of Rajinikanth and the former has been mulling to join hands with the superstar, who would be launching his political party by January 2021. On Friday, Rajinikanth has got admitted to the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad after he had complained of high blood pressure. The development had shocked his fans as he has been admitted when some of the crew members of his upcoming 'Annaatthe' movie had tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection. 

Rajinikanth had gone for the shooting of the movie in Hyderabad two-weeks back and when he was with the determination of complete the shooting ahead of the launch of the political party, the movie sets had witnessed the grounds of the pandemic spread after four members of the technical crew had contracted the viral infection. Following the development, Rajinikanth had quarantined himself in Hyderabad, and Sun Pictures, the producer of the movie, asserted that Rajinikanth had tested negative for the pandemic and said that the shooting has been temporarily postponed. 

On Friday, Rajinikanth had got admitted to the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad after complained of high blood pressure. Many political leaders and fans have been extending their wishes to the superstar to get a speedy recovery. Speaking to a news agency, DMK's expelled leader MK Alagiri said that he had spoken to Rajinikanth on Saturday over the phone and asked about his health condition. Alagiri further stated that Rajinikanth told him that he will be back in Chennai in two or three days. 

Alagiri's statement has come at a high time when the hospital issued the latest update on the superstar's health on Saturday in which it had said that it will decide on his discharge on Saturday evening. Apollo Hospitals said that the actor has been progressing well and said that Rajinikanth will be staying at least till Saturday evening and it will decide on when the actor needs to be discharged. In its statement, the hospital said, "He had an uneventful night and his blood pressure is still on the higher side although under better control than yesterday. His investigations have not revealed anything alarming so far". The hospital stated that the actor will also put through further tests on Saturday before getting discharged.

While it was speculated that he would be under quarantine for the rest of the month, the reports close to the development said that he would less likely be launching his political party in January as he had earlier said that he will first complete the shooting of Annaathe before launching the political party and he further asserted that he would complete the shooting soon. 

Rajinikanth complained of fluctuations in blood pressure and the hospital issued an official statement on Friday in which it has said that the actor's blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and he required further evaluations. The hospital revealed that apart from the complaint of blood pressure and exhaustion, Rajinikanth had no other symptoms and was hemodynamically stable. 

By citing that the actor is progressing well in its Saturday's press release, the hospital further stated that Rajinikanth has been advised complete rest in view of his labile blood pressure and visitors are not being allowed to meet him. He would be put through further evaluations and tests on Saturday and the hospital said it would take a final decision on his discharge on Saturday evening, based on his health condition and investigation results.
