'This is the reason why PTR's portfolio was changed': TN BJP chief Annamalai's statement goes viral!

Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai has said that the reason why Tamil Nadu Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan's portfolio was changed by Chief Minister MK Stalin is due to the controversial audio tapes in which the purported voice of Palanivel Thiaga Rajan (PTR) was heard saying that MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin and the former's son-in-law Sabareesan had amassed Rs 30,000 crore in a year.

By asking why well-performing PTR was awarded a change in portfolio, Annamalai said that it is unjustified if he was changed only because of the leaked audio tapes. The BJP leader has held a press conference on Friday during which he came down hard against the DMK government and divulged more information about the PTR audio tapes.

Annamalai said that he hasn't released the rest of the tapes and by citing that the entire duration of the audio tape is about one hour, he dared the DMK government to file a case against him. His statement has come a day after MK Stalin made a major cabinet reshuffle in which Finance Minister PTR has been made the Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services.

Responding to the other changes in the cabinet, Annamalai has welcomed the expulsion of Avadi Nasar from the cabinet as BJP has put charges of several irregularities against him. Reacting to the induction of DMK MLA TRB Rajaa as the minister, Annamalai claimed that TRB Rajaa, as the new Industries Minister, could bring conflict of interest since Rajaa's family owns about twenty firms.

Annamalai went on to say that he will release the second part of DMK Files during the first week of July and that the second part will contain details of 21 DMK leaders, including current ministers. "We are not afraid of all these cases. DMK's second corruption list will be published in the first week of July. The names of eleven people were included in the already-released list. The names of 21 people, including new ministers, will be included in the list that will be published", he said.
