Reliefs for Cyclone and Rains; TN Chief Minister announced! 


The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K. Palanichamy has proposed to provide a total relief of Rs. 10 lakhs each from the State Disaster Relief Fund. 
 
Following the announcement of the Indian Meteorological Department on the night of 3.12.2020 that the 'Burevi' storm will cross the coast near Pamban - Kanyakumari, the Government under my leadership immediately strengthened various precautionary measures on a wartime basis. 
 
As many as 36,986 people living in low-lying areas, beaches, and rivers were evacuated and sheltered in 363 relief camps. Under these circumstances, the Chief Minister of TN ordered to set up mobile restaurants as per the needed places. A total of 10 lakh rupees as a relief to the families who have lost lives to this cyclone from the State Disaster Relief Fund of 4 lakh rupees and 6 lakh rupees from the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund.
