'Rest in Power, King': Hollywood mourns for 'Black Panther' Chadwick Boseman who died of cancer at 43!

'Rest in Power, King', - this has been the tribute note from the Hollywood stars after the global industry had lost a promising and talented actor, who had earned an immense reputation from across the globe. Actor Chadwick Boseman, who was best known for playing superhero Black Panther in the Marvel series, had died at the age of 43. 

Chadwick Boseman had been battling cancer for the past four years amid manifesting that he is here to stay for more years through his remarkable works in shaping his career. While he had attained a global stage and fame through Black Panther, his battle with cancer ended up devastating his hope as he had died of cancer at the age when he is advancing his career. 

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago. However, he has never made the information public. He died at home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side on August 28. The 43-year-old thespian was active since 2003 and became a prominent face in the industry after delivering promising talents through playing real-life figures -Baseball great Jackie Robinson in '42' that was released in 2013 and soul singer James Brown 'Get on Up' in 2014. 

Though making remarkable appearances, his role in 'Black Panther', which was released in 2018, would be his ever-lasting memoriam. Black Panther was the first superhero film to get a nomination for best picture at the Oscars. As a 'Black Panther', he also acted in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, which are some of the Marvel films. 

 

According to the reports, the news of his death came as a shock for many as the actor had never made his battle against cancer in public. His family confirmed the news of his demise and released a statement through his official Twitter handle in which it had said, "It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last four years as it progressed to stage IV. A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much".  

The family further stated, "From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and several more - all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther".  Born in South Carolina as the son of a nurse and an entrepreneur, Boseman graduated from Howard University in Washington DC and in initial times, the actor was playing roles on television before finding his grounds at the industry which came through '42' and through his outstanding performance, he shown there would be no turn back. 

After rising to fame, he went to his university in 2018 to speak at its graduation ceremony. During his speech to the students, he said, "The fact that you have struggled with this university which you love is a sign that you can use your education to improve the world that you are entering". Though he kept his battle against cancer private, his fans had raised concerns over his health after noticing that he had lost more weight. After his untimely demise had made global headlines, many Hollywood actors have been paying their condolences for the tragic loss. 

 

Actor Dwayne Johson said, "Hard to hear about this. Rest in love, brother. Thank you for shining your light and sharing your talent with the world. My love and strength to your family." Avenger's co-star 'The Hulk' Mark Ruffalo said, "All I have to say is the tragedies amassing this year have only been made more profound by the loss of #ChadwickBoseman. What a man, and what an immense talent. Brother, you were one of the all time greats and your greatness was only beginning. Lord love ya. Rest in power, King."

 

'Captain America' Chirs Evans said, "I’m absolutely devastated. This is beyond heartbreaking. Chadwick was special. A true original. He was a deeply committed and constantly curious artist. He had so much amazing work still left to create. I’m endlessly grateful for our friendship. Rest in power, King". 'The Thor' Chris Hemsworth said, "Gonna miss you mate. Absolutely heartbreaking. One of the kindest most genuine people I’ve met. Sending love and support to all the family xo RIP". 

 

Actor Chris Pratt said, "My prayers go out to Chadwick’s family and loved ones. The world will miss his tremendous talent. God rest his soul." Ryan Reynolds wrote, "Such a brutal loss. RIP, Chadwick." Motivational Speaker Oprah Winfrey said, "What a gentle gifted SOUL. Showing us all that Greatness in between surgeries and chemo. The courage, the strength, the Power it takes to do that. This is what Dignity looks like." In its tribute, Marvel Entertainment said, "Our hearts are broken and our thoughts are with Chadwick Boseman’s family. Your legacy will live on forever. Rest In Peace." 

 

While speaking about 'Black Panther' last year, Boseman said the film had changed what it means to be 'young, gifted, and black'. It was indeed true and in return, he has become one of the precious and talented stars of Hollywood and gave in double of what he got - courage, hard work, strength, and perseverance and as Oprah said, he had shown us all that Greatness in between his battle, surgeries, and chemotherapies. He has left behind his success story, inspiration, and inculcated everyone to keep fighting regardless of what it takes to achieve where you wish to be. Rest in Power, King!
