The probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been exhuming the grounds of the drug scandal which has now lead to the arrest of the main accused of the actor's death probe - Actor Rhea Chakraborty. The actor has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday with the connection to the drug probe days after the anti-drug agency had arrested the actor's brother Showik Chakraborty. 

The development has come when she was being questioned by the agency over her connection to the drug probe. The actor had appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau for the third consecutive day at their office in Colaba, Mumbai for questioning in the drugs case linked to the death of actor Rajput. She was first served with a subpoena on Sunday morning by the Central agency. 

After many hours of interrogations on Tuesday, the NCB has now arrested the actor, as the probe into the death of the Bollywood star has been taking different and shocking turns. According to the reports, the NCB had launched the probe into the grounds of a drug scandal into the death case after the agency was informed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that there were WhatsApp chats linked to the consumption, procurement, usage, and transportation of drugs on Rhea Chakraborty's phone. 

The evidence of such chats and talk about procuring drugs with Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda has surfaced as the base of the current line of investigation. Earlier, Samuel Miranda, Rhea's brother Showik, and Sushant's domestic help Dipesh Sawant have also been arrested in connection with the drugs probe. The bureau said that Sawant had collected a total of 165 grams of Marijuana between March and June on the orders from Rhea and Showik Chakraborty. 

NCB had said that it was getting co-operation from the actor in the drugs case and on Monday, after the interrogation, the NCB Deputy Director General (South-West region) said that the agency was doing a professionally thorough and systematic job and it will inform the court about its findings in detail in this case. Rhea Chakraborty was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation in connection to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. 

During her interviews with the various TV channels, Rhea Chakraborty had said that she has never consumed drugs and revealed that Rajput used to consume marijuana. The actor's arrest under the NCB amid facing charges from the ED and CBI had attained a shocking development as the probe surfaced around the death of the 34-year-old had revealed dreadful developments. The reports say that a total of nine people have been arrested till now by the NCB with seven directly linked to the probe.

Rhea Chakraborty has been the main accused in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput after his father had filed a complaint against the 28-year-old actress that she had instigated his suicide. Sushant's father KK Singh said that the actress was stealing his son's money, responsible for an overdose in his medication, and threatened to reveal his mental health problems. Ever since the complaint was filed, the actress has been getting attacked verbally through social media platforms in the call of justice for the death of Rajput. Her arrest has added more pressure for the actress in countering the charges levied by the ED and CBI in her role in Rajput's death. Following the arrest, Rhea was taken to the medical examination and according to ANI, she will be produced before a magistrate throuhg video conference by 7.30 pm on Tuesday.
