Popular director Selvaraghavan has sported a new avatar as an actor in his next outing with director Mohan G, who rose to prominence through his movies 'Draupathi' and 'Rudra Thandavam'. Being known for his contentious scripts, Mohan G has marked his first collaboration with Selvaraghavan in which the latter will be playing the lead role.

In recent times, Selvaraghavan has been featuring in the movies and his recent projects include 'Saani Kaayidam' directed by Arun Matheswaran and Nelson's 'Beast'. The popular director has joined hands with Mohan G for the project that has been titled 'Bakasuran'. Being made as a Hindu mythology, Bakasuran is bankrolled by GM Film Corporation while Sam CS has been composing the music.

The shooting for Bakasuran began this April and the movie team has planned to release the film by the end of this year. Earlier, the movie team released the poster of Bakasuran and featured the epic novel Mahabaratham and in contrast, it had iPods and a mobile phone on the other side. While the first poster took the fans to a gripping mind, the latest poster has further fueled the expectations.

Selvaraghavan has on Tuesday - June 28 shared the new poster in which the veteran director was vibrantly seen sporting a spooky face. The latest poster has turned heads and has been going viral with several fans went agog over Selvaraghavan's new avatar. The first look poster was shared by the crew members of the movie.

Interestingly, Bakasuran is a supernatural 'man-eater' in Hindu Epic Mahabharatha and he got killed by Bheema. The director's earlier work 'Draupathi' is also a character from the same epic. His 'Rudra Thandavam' is also meant for the ancient dance of Gods. This shows the director is having a corner for Hindu mythologies fusing with present social issues.
