Mohan G, whose previous films include the sharp striking social dramas Draupathi and Rudhra Thandavam, is the man behind the latest film,  Bakasuran starring Selvaraghavan in the lead. Today, February 17th, the film opened in theatres  competing with Dhanush's Vaathi.

The flick features the director come actor Selvaraghavan in the lead and this marks his third actorial debut after Saani Kaayidham and Beast. The film seems to be getting applause claps from the moviegoers for the actor's performance despite the plot. Along with Selvaraghavan, Nataraj(Natty) who plays the strict and sincere cop in the movie.

Movielovers are satiated with selva and Natty's combo amid the hard hitting heavy subject of the movie. Popular film critic took to twitter and he penned, "A movie that is so hard-hitting.. A message that is so powerful.. It will disturb you, after you finished watching.." It has been reported that the film's running time is 2 hours and 34 minutes.

It centers on cyber harassment, and the importance of parents being made aware of their children's problems. Subramaniyan, Radharavi, Rajan K, Rams, Saravanan Subbiah, D Gunanithi, Tarakshi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Devadharshini, P L Thennappan, Cool Suresh, Sasi Laya, Lavanya, Pondy Ravi, Kuty Gopi, Arunodhayan are playing vital roles.

Sam CS has composed the music Devaraj S and Farook J Basha have handled editing and cinematography respectively. Mirattal Selva has choreographed action sequences while Johny has composed dance moves.  'Bakasuran' has released  over 300 screens in Tamil Nadu as per reports.
