Senior BJP leader has invited a trouble after he was booked in a cheating case!

Senior BJP leader from Kerala Kummanam Rajasekharan has invited trouble after he has been brought under legal books under the grounds of cheating and swindling the money. A complaint has been filed against the BJP leader in the state and he was among the nine people who have been accused of a cheating crime.

According to reports, Kummanam Rajasekharan was a former BJP state president and he also had served as the Governor of Mizoram. The state police had registered a complaint against him for swindling Rs 28.75 lakh and as per the complaint, Rajasekharan's personal assistant Praveen Pillai is the prime accused in the case while eight others have also been named in the complaint.

The reports say that the complaint was filed by CR Harikrishnan, who is a native of Aranmula in Kerala. He had filed a complaint against nine people in which Praveen Pillai was the prime accused while Rajasekharan was added as the fourth accused and one of the other accused include BJP member Harikumar.

In his complaint, Harikrishnan said that the accused had cheated the lump sum amount of Rs 28.75 lakh from him. The complainant alleged that the accused promised to name him as the partner in a plastic-free paper cotton mix banner making company. However, the accused had swindled the amount with their fake promise.

Harikrishnan further stated that it was planned to establish a clothing factory in Palakkad and for the project, Rs 36 lakh was transferred to an account in Canara Bank's Kollamkode branch. After Harikrishnan had transferred the money, he had demanded the share certificate. However, the accused did not provide it and he said that he had filed a complaint after he was cheated.

However, in the albeit of having been filed a complaint, Rajasekharan had denied the allegations and maintained that he had nothing to do with the complaint. By citing that he was aware of the business project, Rajashekaran maintained that he was wrongly named in the case with a political motive and claimed that he has no knowledge of any financial transaction.

According to the FIR, the money was given between 2018 and 2019 when Rajasekharan was serving as the Governor of Mizoram. Harikrishnan said that he had received Rs 4.5 lakh from the accused after several talks. However, the remaining amount was swindled by the accused. Following his complaint, the Aranmula Police station had filed a case against the BJP leader and all the accused under sections 406 - criminal breach of trust, 420 - cheating of the IPC.
