The Chennai police have arrested a 20-year-old man for attacking and stabbing his wife. The incident had occurred on Monday and the suspect was apprehended on Tuesday. While he has been sent to the judicial custody, his wife is getting treated at the hospital.

According to reports, 20-year-old Solomon is a resident of NMK Street at Ayanavaram. He married Eswari over a year ago. However, the couple had been quarelling each other for a long time and Solomon was unhappy with Eswari for uploading videos on social media with other men. Eswari used to upload videos of her singing songs with other men on social media. 

On Monday night, Solomon came to home under the influence of alcohol and picked an argument with Eswari. Amid intensified argument, Solomon attacked and stabbed Eswari with a knife and fled from the spot. As neighbours heard Eswari clamouring, they rushed to her home and found that she was stabbed and was bleeding a lot. 

Eswari was taken to Government Kilpauk Medical College hospital for treatment. A complaint was lodged against Solomon and based on the complaint, the police arrested him from a hideout on Tuesday. Following an investigation, Solomon was sent to the judicial custody on Tuesday night.
