Shocking: Actor Simbu is hospitalized in Chennai...Here's what happened!

In a shocking piece of news, actor Simbu has got admitted to a hospital in Chennai on Saturday - December 11 after he had complained of a viral infection. The actor is moved to a private hospital following the infection and after knowing the development, several fans and fraternities have been expressing their prayers and wishes to the actor for a speedy recovery.

According to reports, Simbu has developed a severe viral infection amid a busy shooting schedule. He had complained of a high fever and throat infection and in a huge relief to the fans, it has been reported that he is not infected with the Covid-19 pandemic. He had been running for shooting for the past few weeks and recently, the actor was seen in Mumbai. 

He had undergone Covid testing and the result returned negative. The actor was in Mumbai for a special premiere of his recent blockbuster hit movie 'Maanaadu'. After completing the event, Simbu had directly flown to Hyderabad from Mumbai to take part in the shooting of his upcoming movie 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu', helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. 

The teaser of Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu was unveiled on Friday and has been going viral. The movie has brought back the celebrating combo of Simbu, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and AR Rahman. The movie has been touted to be an action thriller and it is being bankrolled by Ishari K Ganesh. Simbu was last seen in Maanaadu, which hit the screens on November 25 and garnered massive reception across and beyond the borders. 

Maanaadu was produced by Suresh Kamatchi and directed by Venkat Prabhu. It was a science fiction film and while Simbu played the lead role, SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Vaagai Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, Subbu Panchu, Manoj Bharathiraja, and Aravind Akash had played important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music and the movie has been doing well at the box office. After learning about Simbu's sudden hospitalization, several fans and fraternities express their wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
