Shocking: Former Karnataka CM Yediyurappa's granddaughter found dead at her flat in Bengaluru!

In a shocking piece of news, the granddaughter of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was found dead at her home in Bengaluru on Friday - January 28. It has been suspected that Yediyurappa's granddaughter Soundarya Neeraj has committed suicide. The police have rushed to the apartment where she was residing and registered a case under the grounds of "unnatural death".

Soundarya, a doctor by profession, was 30 years old and she was the daughter of Padma, Yediyurappa's eldest daughter. The body was sent to the Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru to conduct an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death and the police have launched a probe into the untimely demise, which had swiftly drawn national attention.

As a doctor, Soundarya was attached to MS Ramaiah Hospital and she has married Neeraj in 2019 and the couple has a four-month-old child. She lived close to the residence of the former Chief Minister near Vasanth Nagar. Soundarya was found hanging inside her flat. According to reports, the maid at her flat had knocked on the door and after having no response, she had called Dr Neeraj and informed him that Soundarya wasn't responding.

Neeraj has opened the door and found Soundarya hanging from the ceiling fan in the bedroom. She was immediately taken to the hospital. However, the doctors have declared that she was brought dead. After learning about the incident, Yediyurappa's successor and current Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has rushed to the hospital to meet Yediyurappa and pay tribute to the departed soul.
