Shocking: Mukesh Ambani Was Threatened To Kill: Police Arrested A 56-Year-Old Jeweler

The renowned industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his family received numerous threats on Monday received at the Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital. The suspect, Vishnu Bhowmik, allegedly used fictitious names while placing the call, according to authorities. According to the CEO of the hospital, there were 8 to 9 calls from the same guy threatening their chairman.

 

Vishnu Vidhu Bhowmik, a 56-year-old jewelry designer, who resides in Mumbai for 25-30 years, arrested for issuing death threats to industrialist Mukesh Ambani, has been booked under section 506 (II) (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC after his mobile calls traced by the police personnel. “We are interrogating him,” said an officer. DCP Neelotpal said, "The accused made the calls between 10.39am and 12.04pm on the landline number of the hospital. He had got the number from a public portal. He abused Mukesh Ambani and threatened to kill him. He also mentioned late Dhirubhai Ambani in one of the calls. Looking at the seriousness of the offence, the police detained him from the Borivli (West) and brought him to the D B Marg police station. A detailed interrogation is on," 

Dr. Tarang Gianchandani, CEO, H N Reliance Hospital said, "We got 8-9 calls from the same person threatening our chairman between 10.45 am and 12 noon after we concluded our flag-hoisting ceremony at the hospital. Right afterward, the Mumbai police were alerted and an FIR was filed. The team has begun investigations to understand further details of the caller,” Bhowmik has been used a fake name in a call as Afzal. When tracing the information about the accused, it was found that he originally from Tripura and currently owns a jewelry designing shop near Bhuleshwar in South Mumbai. The police officials are further investigating him whether the alleged person was mentally untstable or under any medical condition.
