Shocking: A police officer in Chennai was found dead!

In a shocking development, a police officer in Chennai was found dead at the police quarters on Wednesday. The body was in a decomposed state and a city's law enforcement agency had recovered the body and launched an investigation into the death. 

According to reports, the decomposed body of a constable was found at the police quarters in Kilpauk, Chennai on Wednesday. The police had come to know about the death after the neighbours had alerted the officials after smelling something was wrong at his residence in the complex. 

The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Senthil Kumar. He was a 2008 batch police constable and was working at the Vadapalani police station. As he was a habitual drinker, his wife had estranged him long back and he was living alone in the residence. 

The preliminary inquiries had revealed that Senthil Kumar had been on medical leave for the past eight months. He was all alone at the quarters and there was no response from him for the past two days, which had prompted the neighbours to alert the police to ascertain what had happened to him. 

When police had arrived, there was no response from Senthil Kumar post which they had broken the door. When they went inside, they shockingly found Senthil Kumar's body was lying on the floor. The reports say that the police officials had recovered the body and sent it to the Kilpauk Medical College for the autopsy. The police had booked a case and launched a probe to ascertain the cause of the death of a police officer.
