Shocking in TN: A father commits suicide as his son fails to clear the Class 10 board exams!

In a shocking piece of news, a father of a class 10 student in Tamil Nadu has committed suicide after his son has failed to clear the board exams. The incident has happened in Erode and the deceased was hospitalized for nearly a week after consuming pesticide. 

According to reports, 45-year-old Appusamy was a resident of the Erode district. While he was a driver, his wife 38-year-old Sumathi is working as a labourer at a private company near Bhavani. The couple has two sons Sanjay (15) and Chandru (13). Sanjay was studying Class 10 in a government school in Mayilambadi. He appeared for this year's board exams. 

However, Sanjay had failed in three subjects of the Class 10 board exams and shocked over the failure, his father Appusamy has admitted him to a tutorial college to clear the secondary exam. However, Sanjay didn't attend the classes properly, which further worried Appusamy after which he has decided to end his life. 

On July 1, Appusamy has consumed pesticide at his home. Later, he developed severe pain and his neighbours took him to Bhavani Government Hospital for further treatments. He was then admitted to Erode Government Hospital. Amid getting treated, Appusamy had breathed his last on Tuesday- July 6 as his health didn't respond to the treatments. Following his death, a case has been registered and a probe has been launched by the Ammapet police into his death.
