Shocking video: A councilor in Andhra ran over by a car multiple times! Check what happened

In a horrible incident, the state of Andhra Pradesh had presented the never-witnessed ghastly murder to the nation that took place in the wee hours of Friday. The horrendous scenes that were caught on the surveillance camera had put everyone in complete shock as they have witnessed how the inebriated state would kill humanity and make people blind.

The CCTV visuals have shown a drunken friend reportedly running his car over his booze-mate multiple times and eventually killed him. The deceased was identified as Kampara Ramesh, who was a leader of the state ruling YSRCP and was a councilor of ward 9 of the Kakinada Municipal Corporation. The footage showed that accused Gurajala Chinna and his brother had reportedly run their car over Ramesh three times and crushed him to die.

According to reports, the incident took place at around 2 am on Friday on Gangaraju Nagar road, in the Kakinada Rural area in Andhra Pradesh. After running his car on Ramesh, accused Chinna had left the spot. After the shocking incident came to light, the Sarpavaram police department launched a probe into the murder and they had sent councilor Ramesh's body to the hospital for autopsy. While the autopsy report is still awaited, the police had booked a case against Chinna and his brother under section 302- murder of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The police department said that five men, including Ramesh and two of his friends, along with Chinna and his brother, were drinking together during which Ramesh and Chinna got into an argument, which further stirred altercation. The police said that when Chinna invited Ramesh to a relative's birthday party in another location, the latter had declined that and said he will not come.

As Ramesh declined Chinna's invitation for a birthday party, Chinna decided to leave from the spot and boarded into his car. However, when Ramesh came to know that he had missed the keys to his own car, Ramesh blocked Chinna to leave the spot by standing before his car and he said he won't allow him until they found his keys. When Chinna asked Ramesh to move away, the latter stood blocking his car following which Chinna reportedly drove his car on Ramesh. Ramesh was stumbled and fell on the main road.

When Ramesh's friends tried to move him, Chinna didn't see any mercy and drove his car over Ramesh and crushed him to death. The footage had shown that Ramesh had developed a physical altercation with two men when the other three tried to control them and when Chinna boarded his car to leave, Ramesh blocked his way and when the others attempted to move him, he stood there after which the accused were seen driving ahead, throwing Ramesh, and running on him.

After Ramesh was thrown away on the main road, he stumbled and was motionless. When his friends tried to carry him from the road, the accused drove their car back and ran for him again for the second time, and within seconds, the accused accelerated the car and harshly ran over Ramesh again, for the third time after which, they drove ahead and left the spot, by leaving Ramesh on the road after killing him. The police suspect that Chinna and Ramesh had a dispute in past, which also would be one of the reasons behind the murder.

According to a news agency, Kakinada Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhimarao said Ramesh was hit by a car near a car repair shed around 2.30 am. Before the murder, Ramesh had consumed liquor in the same shed with friends. The body was sent to a hospital in Kakinada for autopsy and a case has been registered under section 302- murder of the Indian Penal Code.
