Shocking: The wife of this BJP MLA went missing...Here's how the police found her!

The wife of a BJP MLA in Uttar Pradesh went missing from their home in Lucknow on Wednesday and the police located her the same day and reunited her with her family. While it was speculated that there has been a dispute between the couple due to which she had left the home, the family dismissed such speculations and asserted that she has been suffering from amnesia. 

65-year-old Pushpa Verma is the wife of 75-year-old Sitaram Verma, the BJP MLA who is representing the Lambhua constituency in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. During the morning hours of Wednesday - November 1, Pushpa Verma went missing from their residence in Lucknow. She left from home at around 6 am without informing anyone and after knowing about she was nowhere in the home, her family members began searching her. 

The couple's son Pankaj Kumar filed a missing person complaint at the local police station and MLA Sitaram Verma was also informed about his wife's disappearance after which he rushed to his residence in Lucknow. The family said that Pushpa Verma was suffering from forgetfulness and was also receiving medications. Based on their complaint, ten police teams were formed to search her. 

The police officials had checked the CCTV footage and also posted on social media about the details of Pushpa's disappearance. Eventually, the police officials found Pushpa Verma in Safedabad, Barabanki, about 23 kilometres away from her residence. After recovering her, the police team took her to the family members. 

Sitaram Verma said that his wife is in an advanced state of amnesia and he also dismissed speculations that they had personal disputes due to which his wife disappeared. Deputy Commissioner of Police Qasim Abdi, who led the search efforts, said, "We extensively distributed photos of her to make it possible for people to come up with any information they might had of spotting her."
