Simbu fans on cloud nine...Maanaadu becomes a mega blockbuster: Do you know how much it has grossed?

The ardent fans of Simbu have been on cloud nine after a big revelation that their favourite actor starred 'Maanaadu' has become a mega blockbuster with the highest grosses in Simbu's acting career. Turning heads and massive attention from the market, Maanaadu has successfully joined the club of Tamil movies that earned over 100 crores at the box office. 

Maanaadu has become the first movie for Simbu to breach the 100-crore mark. According to reports, the movie team has now made it official that Maanaadu has collected Rs 117 crore worldwide. The movie's producer Suresh Kamatchi on Monday took to Twitter and wrote, "Glad to announce that our Maanaadu has collected 117 cr at the worldwide box office. It becomes this year's mega blockbuster." 

He further thanked actor Simbu and the entire movie crew as they celebrate this phenomenal feat. While Maanaadu has already won millions of hearts for its storyline, it has now touched down a milestone commercially. Ever since the producer shared the record, Simbu fans have been relishing the mega blockbuster tag and have been rampantly sharing the news across social media. 

While Suresh Kamatchi has bankrolled Maanaadu, Venkat Prabhu has directed it. Simbu has played the lead role while SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, and Aravind Akash had played important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music and it has hit the big screens last November. The movie was made with a budget of Rs 40 crore and it has now earned Rs 117 crore. 

Maanaadu has opened to an overwhelming scale of positive reviews from across and beyond the borders. Simbu has currently been busy with his next project 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' directed by Gautham Menon. He will soon commence the shooting for the movie 'Pathu Thala' helmed by Obeli N Krishna. Amid the well-packed schedule, he has also sung the 'Bullet song' in the Telugu film 'The Warrior' directed by Lingusamy.
