Simbu joins the big race...Massive surprise from 'Maanaadu': Tamil fans, get ready for triple treat!

For Tamil fans and for the Kollywood industry, the upcoming Diwali would be instrumental in reviving their love and committing towards the cinema. After being confined by the pandemic and lockdown, Kollywood sees the light of festival will light up the turning point for the industry by ending the economical distress and as the theatres are back to business, the fans and industry aim to reaffirm their motive of hardcore entertainment and the celebrities believe that what has become akin to the pre-Covid world, the theatres' resumption would attract more and more fans during the Diwali. 

As Diwali nears, the race gets intense between the stars and Kollywood is typical to witness a clash from top stars through the release of their movies on the same day. Likewise, the upcoming Diwali is all set to host a crucial fight and serve a triple treat to the fans, which would be the first time in recent years. While Rajinikanth starred 'Annaatthee' has been slated for the Diwali release, Thala Ajith's 'Valimai' has been touted to join the Diwali race and as both the Superstar and Thala are getting ready for the clash after three years, the race is now joined by another thespian - Simbu. 

In what has become an unanticipated development, Simbu has on Saturday become the third contender to join the Diwali race through a massive announcement that his upcoming movie 'Maanaadu' will be getting released on Diwali. After learning the announcement, Simbu fans had gone agog and cheered the big update and the news of Maanadu's release has been going viral on social media after Simbu himself had made the announcement. The fans expect a big treat and comeback from Simbu as Maanadu is his first movie after 'Eeswaran', which was released for this year's Pongal, and that it will hit the big screens after the episodes of controversies and setbacks. 

It was reported that there would be a big update from 'Maanaadu' on Saturday at 11.25 am. As reported, actor Simbu took to Twitter and wrote, 'MaanaaduDeepavali'. He also had released a poster with the announcement, which had poured more expectations on the movie. Bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of 'V House' productions, Maanaadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu. The movie has wrapped up in July and as the final proceedings were taking place, it was unexpected that Maanaadu will join the Diwali race with Annaatthe and Valimai, which is most likely to get released on the festival of lights. 

While Simbu plays the lead role in Maanaadu, the movie comes up with an ensemble cast with SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, Udhaya, and Aravind Akash playing important roles. Maanaadu's first single was released two months before and it has been touted that it would be a political action thriller film. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music. 

On the front of Annaatthe and Valimai, Rajinikanth and Ajith are going to clash again after three years - after the Pongal festival in 2019 when Rajini starred 'Petta' and Ajith starred 'Viswasam' released on January 10, 2019. Valimai is touted to be an action thriller and while it was bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects, it is directed by H Vinoth. While Ajith plays the lead role, Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Yogi Babu, Pugazh, Bani J, and Pavel Navageethan will be playing important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music while Nirav Shah has done cinematography. 

On the other hand, Annaatthe comes with an ensemble cast. The movie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner of Sun Pictures and directed by Siva, who directed Ajith in Viswasam. While Rajinikanth plays the lead role, Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamoorthy, Soori, Sathish, and George Maryan will be playing important roles. Imman has composed the music while Vetri and Ruben had taken care of cinematography and editing respectively. On Friday, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the makers had unveiled the posters of Annaatthe, which had promised a blast of entertainment from the Superstar.
