With the thumping success of Maanaadu, Simbu has been busy with various projects including his new avatar as the host of the Bigg Boss Ultimate show. The actor has made a significant comeback and transformation both physically and commercially, which relished his fans and brought him back to the track of competitive actors.

Amid such celebrating events, fans had braced up a shock over the speculations that one of Simbu's upcoming movies is getting dropped. After completing the current projects, Simbu has been scheduled to act in the movie 'Corona Kumar' directed by Gokul. The movie team was planning to rope in director Shankar's daughter Aditi in the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as an antagonist. The movie was said to be produced by Isari Ganesh.

While it was expected that Simbu will start shooting for Corona Kumar after his current projects, social media was filled with claims that this project will be dropped due to a dispute between Simbu and the producer. The fans went abuzz about the development and now director Gokul has given an affirmation that Corona Kumar is not dropped and the shooting will take place.

Speaking to a news agency, Gokul opened up to the speculations for the first time and said, "The movie Corona Kumar will definitely be shot. Don't believe in rumours and the announcement of the entire crew will be made once the shooting begins." For the perplexed Simbu fans, his affirmation has given a clarification that Corona Kumar is still in the actor's kitty.

Currently, Simbu is busy with the projects of 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' and 'Pathu Thala'. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon. While Simbu plays the lead role, Siddhi Idnani, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Siddique, and Neeraj Madhav play important roles.
