Is Sivakarthikeyan to join hands with this famed composer for the first time? Here's what we know

Sivakarthikeyan, who has risen from a TV host to a leading star in Tamil cinema, has worked with many renowned music composers from Yuvan Shankar Raja to Anirudh Ravichander. And his upcoming Ayalaan to be composed by the legendary composer A R Rahman.

However, he has never collaborated with GV Prakash Kumar, who is also a favorable actor and music director of Kollywood. But that might change soon as there are reports that Sivakarthikeyan and GV Prakash Kumar are going to team up for the first time in a future project.

According to sources, GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in as the music director for one of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movies, SK 21. 'SK21' is a romantic action thriller starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of 'Rangoon' fame and produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.

If the reports of Sivakarthikeyan and GV Prakash Kumar's collaboration are true, then it will be a treat for the fans of both stars. Sivakarthikeyan also has other projects in the pipeline, such as 'Maaveeran', a political satire directed by National Award winner Madonne Ashwin, and an untitled film with AR Murugadoss, which is said to be a mass entertainer.

On other hand, Next up for GV Prakash Kumar is PV Shankar's directorial debut, Kalvan. Ivana plays the female lead, and Bharathiraja and Dheena have significant roles in the film as well. He also has a  project tentatively titled 'VNR Trio' in Telugu and has Nithiin and Rashmika as the leads and is directed by Venky Kudumula.
