Six Days of Hunger Strike; Students and Staffs of University of Hyderabad (UoH)! 

The students with staffs of  "The All India OBC Students'' were conducting hunger protest at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) since December 24.  They are doing this protest by demanding that they should guarantee the proper implementation of OBC reservation on campus.   

Students mentioned that the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) members were already visited the University on November 12, 2020 behalf of diverse issues in admissions and led a public hearing. Following that, the administration looked in and handled a few issues only and many of them were left behind, from teaching and non-teaching staff. 

The students were disappointed with no response. The President of the AIOBCSA stated that ''Instead they have sent show-cause notices to five of the employees,'' 

In addition to this, The protestors of the Association made a list of demands. 
 
The Statement said, “Awarding of first promotion (conditional) as JOAs to the 19 employees, as a one time measure, as considered to earlier, speed up the process for recruitment of compassionate appointments, immediate implementation of procedure of JNU in merging of JLA and SLA to laboratory assistant may be followed in UOH merging process of JLA and SLA positions to laboratory assistants, immediate formation of OBC grievance cell to solve OBC employees issues,”
