Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's trip to Spain has brought him a surprise and his government a new push to attract more foreign investments to the state. It is the first time that Stalin has arrived in an European country after taking office in 2021 with high hopes of achieving investors and his trip has come weeks after the Tamil Nadu government has successfully hosted a Global Investors Meet.

MK Stalin has embarked on his Spanish visit on Sunday and while he was en route to the European country, he has had a surprise in the skies. On Monday, while Stalin was travelling to Spain on what appears to be an Emirates airline, he met Tennis legend Novak Djokovic. Posting a picture on the social media with the Serbian Tennis star, MK Stalin wrote, "Surprise in the skies: Met Tennis legend Novak Djokovic en route to Spain."

The picture has quickly grabbed headlines and it has been going viral on social media. Several users reacted to the picture, with one saying, "Tennis legend with political legend." Another user wrote, "Woah, that's some crossover, lol." Another user wrote, "Surprise in the skies. All time Tennis mass Novak Djokovic and TN's favourite CM MK Stalin."

Besides throwing their agogs over the picture, the social media users have also remarked a suggestion to the Chief Minister, asking him to try to bring Djokovic to Chennai for the Chennai ATP open as his participation would be a massive boost to Tennis. MK Stalin arrived in Spain on Monday and later, he received a rousing welcome from Indian Ambassador Dinesh Patnaik and his staff at the Indian Embassy.

MK Stalin's current overseas trip would mark as his long-haul foreign visit since taking the office as he will be visiting more countries in his tour and would return to Chennai on February 7. Addressing the reporters before leaving Chennai, MK Stalin said that his visit to Spain is part of his government's efforts to make Tamil Nadu a trillion-dollar company by 2030.

The Chief Minister further said that he will be holding investment conferences with key companies in Spain where he would offer an insight about the potential of investing in Tamil Nadu. MK Stalin has been accompanied by his wife Durga Stalin and Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa. It has been reported that after wrapping up his Spanish visit, he would be visiting the United Kingdom.
