Superstar Rajinikanth has been hospitalized in Chennai after he complained of health discomforts on Thursday. The sudden hospitalization has shocked his fans across and beyond the borders and the veteran actor has been flooded with wishes from the people to have a speedy recovery. Amid concerns over his health conditions, the latest details had brought a huge relief that the actor is responding well to the treatments and is on the path of recovery.

Earlier this week, Rajinikanth has etched a history by becoming the laureate of India's highest honour for cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award that was bestowed on him by India's Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu. With the honour, Rajinikanth had met President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and he also had an important occasion of launching the new social media platform - 'Hoote', that was built by his younger daughter Soundarya. The Superstar had left an emotional voice note after launching the platform. 

When the superstar fans were in double delight over the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the release of 'Annaatthe' during Diwali, they braced up a shocking piece of news that the actor was hospitalized in Chennai. His hospitalization has stirred a barrage of opinions on social media and worried the fans. Following such development, Rajinikanth's family had assured the fans that there was no cause of concern and that the actor was admitted for a routine health check-up. 

According to reports, Rajinikanth had complained of a headache and uneasiness following which he was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai at around 7.30 pm on Thursday. The latest details concerning the superstar's health condition had affirmed that Rajinikanth has been recovering and he will be discharged from the hospital in two days. DT Next, quoting the sources, had said that the actor underwent an MRI scan which had revealed a burst blood vessel. 

The agency has said the actor had suffered a burst blood vessel and it came to light through the results of an MRI scan. It has been reported that the actor has been diagnosed with an infarction, which is a condition caused by obstruction of the blood supply to an organ or region of tissue. As the superstar is responding well to the treatments and nearing discharge, the fans are resuming their celebrations for 'Annaatthe' Diwali. It is pertinent to note that hours ahead of getting hospitalized, Rajinikanth had watched the movie along with his family members.

'Annaatthe' is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures and directed by Siva. While Rajinikanth plays the lead role, the movie has an ensemble cast including Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, and Pandiarajan had played important roles. The music is composed by national award winner D Imman and the movie has been slated for release on November 4, on the occasion of Diwali. Meanwhile, Annaatthe trailer was officially unveiled on Wednesday and it has garnered a good reception. By the time of writing this content, the trailer has received over 7.7 million views as it has promised a well-packed entertainer.
