The long-awaited moment has finally arrived, much to the delight of his ardent fans of Superstar, as his highly anticipated film 'Jailer' graces the silver screen today. Crafted under the guidance of director Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie has ignited an electrifying frenzy among audiences already.

Garnering accolades from both critics and fans, the film's initial release in regions like Kerala and Andhra Pradesh has only fueled the excitement, preceding its launch in Tamil Nadu. 'Jailer' weaves the tale of a retired police officer whose enigmatic past resurfaces to haunt him. Rajinikanth, true to form, seizes the lead role, showcasing his signature style and allure.

Alongside him, a constellation of talent including Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and Yogi Babu, play pivotal roles that enrich the narrative. The box office, too, bears witness to the film's sheer prowess, as trade analysts report a staggering worldwide collection of over Rs 100 crore on its very first day. ‘Jailer’ has already created a new record at the Kerala box office by becoming the highest-grossing film on its first day of release in 2023. The Rajinikanth starrer has raked in a whopping Rs 2.06 crore from the pre-sales alone. The film has a running time of 2 hours and 45 minutes, with the first half lasting for 1 hour and 19 minutes and the second half for 1 hour and 26 minutes.
