Suriya to join hands with this famed Telugu director... Here're the exciting deets

The versatile actor Suriya, who is known for his diverse roles and impeccable performances, has been busy with his upcoming projects. The star last seen in Kamal Hassan starter Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He is also gearing up for the release of his venture Kanguva, the fantasy epic directed by Siruthai Siva.

But that’s not all. According to the latest reports, Suriya has  signed a new film with Telugu director Chandu Mondeti, who is currently working on the sequel of his hit thriller ‘Karthikeya’. The film, titled ‘Karthikeya 2’, stars Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles.

Sources say that Suriya was impressed by Chandu Mondeti’s script and agreed to work with him. The film is said to be a bilingual project, which will be made in Tamil and Telugu languages. The genre and the cast of the film are yet to be revealed.

Suriya has a good fan base in Telugu states, as his films like ‘Ghajini’, ‘Singam’ and ‘24’ have done well at the box office, as his remakes of his films like ‘Yuva’, remake of Aayutha Ezhuthu ‘Aakasam Nee Haddura’, which was a remake of his Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’.

If the news of Suriya collaborating with Chandu Mondeti is true, then it will be a treat for the fans of both the industries. Fans hope that the official announcement of the film will be made soon. His next  Kanguva is scheduled to be released in early 2024 in 2D and 3D formats, including Tamil, the film will be released in 10 languages.
