Suriya had a cameo appearance in Vikram as Rolex, a ruthless gangster who challenges Vikram in the climax. And his next would be Suriya 43, directed by Sudha Kongara, who helmed his previous hit Soorarai Pottru. The film is said to be a gangster drama set in Mumbai which is to commence from October.

He will also reunite with Vetri Maaran, for Vaadi Vaasal, a rural drama based on a novel by C.S. Chellappa. The film will explore the tradition of jallikattu, a bull-taming sport practiced in Tamil Nadu. So the versatile star plans to start it after completing the films he had committed to, he will move on to Lokesh's direction for  Rolex and then Irumbu Kai Maayavi.

He also cleared the big brewing talk on the town that he permanently moved to Mumbai. He said, " I am not settled in Mumbai. I am in Tamil Nadu only.
