Surprise call from Superstar Rajinikanth: Popular Tamil actor shares a touching story!

Popular Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu, who has made a remarkable comeback through his latest movie 'Taanakkaran', has on Wednesday - April 13 shared a touching story that he has received a call from Superstar Rajinikanth. He called the moment something he didn't dare to dream of as the Superstar had lauded the actor for his performance in the movie. 

Taking to Twitter, Vikram Prabhu wrote, "What a great feeling it is to get a call of appreciation for my performance by Superstar himself. Achieved something I didn't dare to dream. Guess following your passion creates such wonderful events in life. Also to Taanakkaran team 'Hats off! God Bless! #Tamil." His tweet has been going viral as Vikram Prabhu has been relishing the positive reviews for the movie from across and beyond the borders. 

Taanakkaran was released on April 8 directly on the Disney+Hotstar OTT platform. The movie has quickly drawn attention and it is based on real-life incidents from 1997 related to police training. It revolves around the story where a ruthless police officer brutally tortures the trainees at the police training academy. Bankrolled by Potential Studios, Taanakkaran is directed by Tamizh, who rose to fame through his negative police role of torturing the tribal men in Suriya starred 'Jai Bhim'. 

While Vikram Prabhu plays the lead role, Anjali S Nair, Lal, Livingston, MS Bhaskar, Bose Venkat, Madhusudhan Rao, Pavel Navageethan, and Nitish Veera had played important roles. Ghibran has composed the music while cinematography and editing were done by Madhesh Manickam and Philomin Raj respectively. Vikram Prabhu has been busy with his upcoming projects - Karthik Chowdhary's directorial 'Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku' and Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan'.
