Surprise update: Kangana Ranaut to play a major role in the sequel of mega-hit Rajinikanth's movie!

The iconic and magnum opus movie 'Chandramukhi' is getting donned to come in a new avatar as the sequel of this mega-hit movie has commenced earlier this year. The announcement of the sequel has surprised thousands of fans from across and beyond the borders. The first part of the seat-edge horror story concluded with an adaptable ending that featured the character Chandramukhi, the film's titular character. 

Now the latest talk in the town claims that the Kangana Ranaut has agreed to feature in the second part of Chandramukhi as the leading lady. And she is a famous dancer at the King's court and known for her beauty and dancing skills. The leading actress was already seen in prime roles, like Jhansi Rani, Thalaivi, and will be seen next in Emergency as former prime minister Indira Gandhi. 

The first part had Superstar Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, and Jyothika, who played the titular character Chandramukhi. As per source, "Kangana will start shootings first schedule of the film in the first week of December. The actress will be taking a small break from 'Emergency' and the second schedule of 'Chandramukhi 2' will commence in January after Emergency wrap," 

Sources close to Kangana mentioned " Kangana is thrilled to do her next Tamil film after huge acceptance for Thalaivii and looking forward to this very cinematic character." P Vasu, who helmed Chandramukhi, will also be directing Chandramukhi 2 while it will be bankrolled by Subaskaran under his own banner Lyca Productions. In the second part, Raghava Lawrence will be playing the lead role while Kangana Ranaut will play the female lead. 

The first part of Chandramukhi has become one of the iconic and everlasting movies of the Tamil cinema industry by being a mega-blockbuster. It was a movie from Kollywood that ran for nearly 1000 days during the early 2000s.
