The school education department has asked the schools to start online classes for Class 11 in the third week of June by following the COVID-19 guidelines.
Amid having no sign of school re-opening, there has been a buzz on social media with some reports claiming that the schools for Class 11 students will be reopened in the third week of June.
The final decision of cancelling the board exams has come in the albeit of demand from most of the stakeholders including parents and the representatives of the political parties to conduct the exams.
On Saturday, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has held a high-level meeting with all the parties to acquire their views on conducting the board exams.
The demands have come after the Center had repealed the CBSE Class 12 board exams this year and several states have joined the line of cancelling the Class 12 state board exams.
