So far, dozens of legislators, ministers, and political leaders were tested positive for COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu of which some of them had died due to the health complications of the infection.
On Saturday, India launched the world's largest Covid-19 vaccination drive. They're said to be 447 who suffered ill effects of vaccination. More than 2 lakh healthcare workers were immunized on day one.
By asserting that no beneficiary had reported any side effects of the doses, Radhakrishnan stated that people who are more than 50 years of age will be vaccinated soon.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the drive and the states and the union territories began vaccinating the workers with two indigenous vaccines- Covishield and Covaxin.
While speaking about the vaccination drive, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Friday said that it is the last phase of our battle against coronavirus and stated the drive as the beginning of the end of COVID-19.
Vijayabaskar said that the research using the Covishield and Covaxin in the government hospitals in Tamil Nadu showed no adverse effects to any of the people.
The schools will be resumed for classes 10 and 12 from January 19 with the view of the welfare of these students to prepare for the upcoming board exams.
