As Narendra Modi is seeking to secure a third term of power by winning the general elections, his approach on the farmers, their protest, and their demands is being closely watched from across the nation.

On June 8, Wednesday, An Offical Statement from the cabinet said “It is notable that return over MSP for bajra, tur, urad sunflower seed, soybean, and groundnut is more than 50 percent over the all-India weighted average cost of production at 85 percent, 60 percent, 59 percent, 56 percent, 53 percent, and 51 percent respectively,”

The incident of an awful mockery by the salesman and the comeback of the farmers have become the talk of the town, with the visuals going viral on social media. 

The government has also passed the Farm laws repeal bill in the ongoing session of the Parliament and Prime Minister Modi had earlier appealed to the peasants to withdraw their protests. 

The Union government has fastened the proceedings to officially repeal the laws, which triggered year-long nationwide protests from the farmers.

Congress party has welcomed the cabinet's approval of repealing the farm laws and said that the party will have some issues clarified during the Parliament session.

Karthi has said that the revocation has become a historical victory for the peasants who incessantly protested against the laws.

While the opposition leaders welcome the revocation as a big victory for the farmers, they spell a doubt over Modi's nature of the announcement. 

Amid celebrations, the farmers have affirmed that they won't end their protests until the laws are completely repealed in the upcoming session of the Parliament. 

The news hit the headlines across the nation on Thursday, hours after the Supreme Court has come down hard on the Union government and asked why it is using the colonial law.
