According to the reports, the health department has instructed the private medical colleges in the city and state to reserve at least 50% of their beds for treating the COVID-19 patients.

The revelation of discrepancy has come at a crucial time when Tamil Nadu Health Minister Vijayabaskar asserted that the government has no intention to conceal the number and it has been transparent.

According to the reports, DMK has lost four MLAs in the span of one year - Radhamani - Vikkravandi MLA, Kathavarayan - Gudiyatham - KKP Samy - Thiruvottiyur, and Anbazhagan - Chepauk.

Tamil Nadu has become the sixth state in India to cross the death toll of 300 and in the last six days, the state has added about 100 deaths to its count.
