According to reports, MS Dhoni, amid his bustling endeavours from cricket to movie productions, has been holidaying in the United States. The cricket icon was spotted at the US Open men's singles quarterfinals match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev that was held in New York. Several reports had confirmed that a day after watching the US Open, Dhoni was hosted by Donald Trump.

MS Dhoni's friend and entreprenuer Hitesh Sanghvi shared the picture of Dhoni and Donald Trump on Instagram and wrote, "Golf with MS Dhoni, Donald Trump, and Rajiv Sharma...thank you Mr President for hosting us." In one of his Instagram stories, Sanghvi had posted a video where both Dhoni and Trump can be seen playing golf together.

They played golf at Trump's National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. It is the first time that Donald Trump has hosted an Indian celebrity and it has come at a pivotal time of his campaign for the US Presidential elections, which will be held in 2024. Donald Trump has been sharply leading in the race to win the nomination as the Republican party's presidential candidate in the midst of legal perils and back-to-back indictments.

After losing the 2020 presidential race to Democrat Joe Biden, it is most likely that Donald Trump will go for a rematch against US President Joe Biden again in the 2024 polls. On the other hand, MS Dhoni has recently ventured into movie productions through his 'Dhoni Entertainment' amidst being regarded and celebrated as one of the greatest captains of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In IPL, Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that won the title five times including in the IPL 2023 edition. Following the victory, MS Dhoni had successfully undergone a left knee surgery in a Mumbai hospital. The surgery was performed by renowned sports orthopaedic surgeon Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala. The former Indian cricketer has completely recovered and his physical fitness has poured more hopes to the fans that he will play in next year's IPL tourney.
