Tamil actor passes away due to COVID-19 at the age of 43 in Chennai!

In a shocking development, a Tamil actor has passed away on Thursday at the age of 43 in Chennai due to the COVID-19 viral infection. He was getting treated at a private hospital in the city for the past few days and has become the latest victim of COVID-19 in the Kollywood industry. Several fraternities are paying tributes to the deceased soul. 

Tamil actor Shaman Mithru, who rose to prominence through his debut movie 'Thorati' which was released in 2019, was admitted to a private hospital in Chrompet in Chennai after contracting the Covid viral infection a few days back. Amid the efforts to save him, he had breathed his last in the morning hours of Thursday at the age of 43. 

Shaman was also well-versed in cinematography and he had worked as an assistant photographer under KV Anand, a renowned director, and cinematographer who had demised recently. Shaman had also worked on several projects as a Director of Photography and he made his debut as an actor in 2019 through 'Thorati' that was directed by P Marimuthu. Shaman was the producer of the movie. 

Popular publicist Ramesh Bala took to Twitter and wrote, "The lead actor of 2019 Tamil Movie #Thorati - Actor #ShamanMithru who also produced it, passed away due to Covid complications in Chennai early this morning... He used to work as a DOP also in several movies... He was 43... Leaves behind his wife and a 5-year-old daughter... RIP!"

In an interview with a news agency during the promotion of Thorati, Shaman said that he had become an actor by chance and Thorati is a film that revolves around the lives of shepherds who walk many miles in search of pasture for their cattle. He said that the story was happening in a village and no actor will take a risk of involving in getting tanned, losing more weight, and walking barefoot.
