Target 2024: TN BJP chief Annamalai comes up with a big plan for the first time since taking the leadership!

As the political parties in Tamil Nadu have been counting days for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, they are beefing up their strategies and preparations for the crucial election. Amidst struggling with a faltering base and a controversial leadership, Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has come up with a plan to conduct a yatra across the state like how Rahul Gandhi organized a nationwide rally.

With an objective of strengthening the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Annamalai has announced that he will embark on a state-wide rally from April 14 and it will be the first time that he will roll-out this statewide tour since taking the leadership. Addressing the party's executive meeting in Cuddalore, Annamalai said he will start the yatra from Tiruchendur on April 14, on the occasion of Tamil New Year. The party has passed a resolution concerning the same and Annamalai plans to cover all the 234-assembly constituencies in the state.

Annamalai will organize his yatra for a year and will complete it ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. During his yatra, Annamalai has decided to have wide interactions with the public. During the party's executive committee meeting, BJP has adopted nine resolutions and they include - commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the presidency of G20 and a resolution condemning the DMK government for insulting Governor RN Ravi during his address in the state assembly earlier this month.

The BJP's state unit has also passed a resolution urging to implement the Sethu Samudram Project without causing any damages to the Ram Sethu bridge. The party has also passed a resolution congratulating BJP National President JP Nadda for getting extension to serve as the party's president till June 2024.

By urging Chief Minister MK Stalin to apologise for insulting the Governor, the BJP has passed a resolution demanding action against the DMK functionaries for making derogatory remarks against RN Ravi. The party has adopted a resolution of praising Modi for hosting the Kasi Tamil sangamam and another resolution demands that the ruling DMK government should take responsibility for mixing human feces in a overhead water tank in a Dalit colony at the Vengaivayal village in the Pudukottai district.
